Fertilization from Spring to Fall

Turf-Mark provides a five-step seasonal fertilization and weed control program for optimal health that includes:
  •  One application of liquid pre-emergent and herbicide that helps kill annual weeds, control crabgrass and broadleaf weeds
  • Three applications of granular slow release fertilizer that feeds your lawn
  • One post-emergent herbicide that controls broadleaf weeds and summer annual weeds

    Spring Pre-emergent Weed Control

    Typically applied in April-May.
    Liquid pre-emergent with herbicide is designed to kill weed seeds and lawn weeds. After application please keep people and pets off the lawn until dry to the touch and wait 24 hours to mow or water.

    Spring Fertilizer

    Typically applied in June.
    Granular, slow release fertilizer to promote healthy spring grass for the warm weather ahead.

    After application please provide .5” of water for your lawn. Watering-in fertilizer is essential to getting the granules down to the soil and to avoid burning of grass. Fertilizer contains nitrogen and salt and can burn the lawn if not properly watered-in.

    Summer Post-emergent Weed Control

    Typically applied in July
    Liquid herbicide is designed to kill hard to control summer lawn weeds.
    After application please keep people and pets off the lawn until dry to the touch and wait 24 hours to mow or water.

    Summer Fertilizer

    Typically applied in August
    Granular, slow release fertilizer to support the lawn throughout the hot weather.
    After application please provide .5” of water for your lawn. Watering-in fertilizer is essential to getting the granules down to the soil and to avoid burning of grass. Fertilizer contains nitrogen and salt and can burn the lawn if not properly watered-in.

    Winter Fertilizer

    Typically applied in September-October
    Granular, slow release fertilizer to help prepare for a quick healthy lawn in early spring.
